antevasin

ANTEVASIN: means “one who lives at the border.” (Sanskrit) this indicates a person who had left the bustling center of worldly life to go live at the edge of the forest where the spiritual masters dwell. The antevasin was not one of the villagers anymore—not a householder with a conventional life. The antevasin was an in-betweener; a border-dweller; one who lived in sight of both worlds, but looked toward the unknown.

That simmering line between your old thinking and your new understanding, always in a state of learning. This is the border that is always moving.

ちょうど最近読んだ本、Eat, Pray, Love に出てきた、antevasin
文化、人種、街、仕事、自由、大人．．．
いろんな境界を彷徨っている自分にとって「はっ」とした言葉。
一度都会から離れて身もココロもリセットしたい、基本に戻りたい。
そう思って半年前にこの２ヶ月半の旅を決意し、仕事を辞め、
６年間住んだニューヨークから全てを引き上げ、帰国しました。
