エコ・プロジェクトも少しずつ進んでいますが、今度はまた家の改築の手伝いをしたりしています。いつもいろんなプロジェクトがあちらこちら。家の南ファサードの石膏を埋め直すために壁を彫ったり、１００歳以上の木の梁の掃除をしたり。吹き抜けリビングに古木材の梁を入れて床を入れ、２階にもうひと部屋を造っているのです。今回ははじめての接ぎ彫り〜。手のこぎりでギコギコ、のみでホリホリ。楽しかったです。そしてちゃんとはまりました！木工、もっと学びたいです。そしてコテでとろっとしたセメントを壁と梁の間にシュイっと奥に埋めていくのが意外に難しい。下手する床がセメントでボタボタ。道具の持ち方一つで全然違うのです。また勉強になりました。床の板は品切れで８月はフランス全体がバカンス〜なので仕上げは９月ごろになりそうです．．．。

The eco project is coming along slowly but now I am helping with the house renovation again. We have been chiseling the south facade to redo the joints and cleaning up salvaged wooden beams which are easily over 100 years old. We are putting in the old wooden beams in the living room to create another room on the second floor. This time, I made my first carpentry joint - something like a bridle joint. Hand-sawing and chiseling the wood away, the work required patience and some strength but I successfully made the joint fit! I love working with wood. I would love to learn more carpentry. Filling the gap between the wall and the beams were another story. Shooting the sloshy cement into the wall with good aim ... without holding the trowel properly, the floor would be covered with blobs of cement... I'm always learning new things.
