handmade tofu!

仕事の帰りは自転車で仕事から家までの道のりを探検。毎日ちょっと違う道を行ってみたりして楽しんでます。この間発見したのが手作りのお豆腐やさん「まん天」。豆腐は凄く「とうふっぽい」味で美味しかったです。しかもおからはサービス！こんなにたっぷり。ニンジン、ごぼう、しいたけ、ネギたっぷりにひじきのおから炒めを作って美味しかったです。

Everyday on my way home, I take the pleasure of taking new routes and finding new places. The other day, I found a handmade tofu shop. This is the great thing about Japan with the traditional handmade mom&pop shops. The tofu was very thick and flavorful. The "okara" (tofu refuse) is for free since they would normally throw it out. It's delicious stir fried and cooked in combu broth with carrots, shiitake mushrooms, burdock, leeks and hijiki -very Japanese.

そしてパートナー＆ファミリーといただこうと思って買ったおから＆豆乳ドーナツ〜。とても優しい味でした。やっぱり手作りっていいですね。And then some okara/soymilk donuts to share with my partner and her family. Just simple and sweet.
